Community Legal Education Session – How to talk about parenting

Have you ever wondered how you can be more effective in talking about parenting.  During separation and other life experiences, it is important for parents to have support whether that is friends, family and/or professional support.  Lesley Taylor (NT Manager, NAPCAN) will provide information on:

  • How to use metaphors to talk about parenting and parenting support.
  • Overview of the research undertaken by Fameworks Institute which was commissioned by the Parenting Research Centre.
  • Practical tips on the phrases/words to use and what to avoid when talking about parenting and parenting support.
