Blurred Borders is a commonwealth funded project that began in July 2016. At the training, attendees will be taught to use the Blurred Borders resource kits by Shelly Alvarez Sheri Shwe, legal educators from NT Legal Aid whom will be presenting this interactive session. These kits have been produced for legal and community service providers working with aboriginal people in the Northern Territory and Western Australia cross-border region. The kits were developed for use with aboriginal people, but are useful for those working with any group of people on complex legal topics. The kits use visual art and storytelling to help explain, in a culturally accessible way, the key legal concepts around bail, the criminal process and family violence.
