Full Description
Lutheran Community Care provide the following services:
- Kwatja Etatha Play Group is a supported play group for Indigenous families with children aged 0-4 years. Through play group routine children and their parents have access to quality play based early learning activities. Parents attend with their children and have the opportunity to meet other parents, strengthen their parenting skills and understanding of children's development. At play group, families enjoy a nutritious snack and meal. Play group provides a free bus service.
- Families Learning Together. Each term a series of 8 workshops per term are run for parents of children aged 0-4 years, during the Kwatja Etatha Play Group time. These are held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am-11:30am.
- Community Services Workshops are co-presented in partnership with Batchelor Institute and include topics that help develop parenting skills and awareness of child development and supporting healthy children. Please contact Lutheran Community Care for when these workshops are being provided.
- Circle of Security is presented by trained play group workers. This is an evidence based parenting training program over 8 sessions. This program helps parents provide their children with emotional support needed to develop secure attachment, resilience and skills for getting ready for school.
