Community Legal Education Session- Discussion on opportunities for collaboration in supporting Aboriginal Families through the Federal Circuit Court

July 30, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Community Legal Education (CLE) session with Judge Young.  There has been the establishment of an Indigenous Court list within the Federal Circuit Court of Australia by Former Judge Sexton (NSW) and Judge Kelly (Adelaide). This CLE is an opportunity for organisations to have a collaborative discussion on:

  • What are the needs of Indigenous families going through the Federal Circuit Court
  • What services currently support Indigenous families experiencing separation
  • How could an Indigenous Court list work in Alice Springs and what would need to happen to support this

Please note this is a preliminary discussion with Judge Young of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. From the meeting, a potential outcome is the establishment of a working group.

(Please note this event is for FLPN members.  Refreshments are provided.  Please specify any dietary requirements.  To attend, please RSVP by Friday 27th July through the below online registration.)
